4E1 Chalet 2006

Woo!

Wasn't it fun? And tiring at the same time.

Perhaps most of us actually felt it was kindda short, but oh well, too bad lar, I couldn't get any longer than a 2Day1Night.

Everything was pretty fun and interesting I guess, from the food preparation, to your overnight card playing, to the movie and anime marathons, it was a pretty wild night for all of us.

Thanks to ChengXiang for the hushhush so we got the chalet booked and done, as well as for his camera.

Basically, Nelson, ChengXiang and I went to the wetmarket in the morning to get the frozen foodstuff.

Leonard Khoo and some guys went and get the charcoal, mushmellows, alot of stuffs and the Sparkling Wine, diao lar, make the chalet so expensive...

We all got there on time, but... We didn't have an adult to check us in, so I had to trouble my Dad to rush up to check in for us.

But oh well, pictures are better at telling.

Food glorious food!First round: Hot dogs and cucumber.

We developed a unique way of BBQ-ing hot dogs, that is to cut them into small pieces, skewer them and then goreng them. The end result, a more uniform distribution of heat resulting in better taste!

We realised the dogs were burning easily, so we buttered them.

Bernard and Clement helped alot on the skewering, actually, they thought of the new way for goreng-ing hot dogs.See what I mean... it was so good!But poor Nicholas, got stabbed in the head... Pictorially.

It was really fun hosting the chalet, planning and doing the stuffs, although I got irritated that no one was helping around, and everyone was playing... And there was another idiot who paid me 10dollars and a pack of chips, which was SGD$3.80, please remember, no one is going to accept that again.

But I guess the only thing that really matters is you guys had fun! So it didn't matter if I had to work a little more harder!

Hope that more would come, and someone else would do the hosting cause I wanna have fun the next time.

How's it been going guys?

I've been really busy with my life, coaching, tourism and sorts, until I almost forgot about the class chalet.
But no worries, I'll go down one of these days to book it. Even if there's no chalet, we'll have a barbeque.

The start of the holidays weren't good for me, I had nightmares of the O's waking up late, which I didn't, and cramming what seems to be the leftovers of Bio-chapter after we're done with the first few.
T-e-r-r-i-b-l-e.
And then I wonder about the what-if-I-could-have-done(s)

But oh well, it's all over for us, so incase you still think you can turn back time.

Yesh, and I got a few gifts from Thailand for those who had got me stuffs before, so if you have never, don't expect anything. Unless I love you alot, that is, rather, impossible. Oh there is, the beanie I bought for you-know-who.

Everyone's back from their holidays, mostly, dyeing your hair colour back and stuffs, and I'm sure everyone's got a story to tell, please don't hesitate. We love you guys and your stories unless it's full of f's and vulgarities, you might as well forget it. We're a truly innocent blog community, really!
So yes, tell us what happened before you took your flight back to Singapore, what you did at home, what you did with your hamster, dog, cat, parrot, PCD, movies, e.g. gongli and her bad dressing in the Curse of The Golden Flower which was rated only two stars, looks like gold's not so valuable nowadays.
We wanna hear it! Whether it's from America, Africa, Cambodia, China, India, Madagascar or wadevA, we did like to hear it.

And for the last time, it's futile, not furtile, I made the ammendments already.

It would probably be around 27-31, at Pasir Ris.

We're deciding between a 3D2N and 2D1N.

well I was asked to blog abt my few years at St.Gabs...
hmmm...lets go all the way back to sec 1...
I vaguely rmb the first day in this school...hmmm...I rmb i was kinda lost on the first day of school...i had not known wad class i was in and who were in my class..and apparently students E3 as in 1E3 of my batch had been called by the orientation leader or smth and told of wad class they were in..so i tot they were going to call all new pupils...so when i did not get the call...i was like kan chiong alr..hahas...ya...so ya..i went to school in my Pe shirt from primary school...others were like in their new school Uni...ya..so i was feeling abit stupid..hahas...
i rmb telling myself during the orientation that this school is huge..this was probably becuz i was small and newe to the school..anyways i was posted to 1E2 which i muz add may have been one of the best class to study and mix with..hahas..some others may not agree...but ya...E2 was the best..hahas...anyways...the orientaion was quite alright..can't really rmb anything much...ya..then i think on the last day or smth of the orientation we were like taught the school song..ya..at first i heard it i tot it sounded alittle weird and familiar at the same time...hahas...ya..that began my secondary school life..anyways..i was pretty slow getting used to the system and the subjs...hmmm..failed my firtst Emaths common test..and english too..hahas...the two most impt subj..the rest i passed though...hahs..however it got better and i start doing better in the tests...hahs..but u know wad...my geog was the best subj..i rmb that mid year of sec 1..hahas...i had like achieved my highest mark for any test...hahas..guess wad...i scored 29/100!!!hahas..cool aint it?hahas...well..ya..and that was the start of me failing geog for the rest of 1.5 years..hahas...yups...then sec 1 ended and stuff...oh ya..i played soccer almost everyday in sec 1...did not do too well i guess..50+% ya..hahas..
then came sec 2...by then i was much much more comfortable with the system and stuff and made better frens with shu quan,boi and limbo..it was it think in sec 2 that we really became like close frens...hmm..ya..anyways..sec 2 i think i imporved from my sec 1 results..however i was still failing my geog..hahas..all the way till sec 2 mid year...ya...but hey!...miracles do happen..hahas...i started like passing all my geog test from then on...i myself cannot believe it...my geog was like the worst subj i ever took..hahas..worse than chem trust me..hahas...anyways...it was i think common test 2 where i did not fail any subj at all...then managed B3 for quite a few subs...hmm..then i rmb my teacher erm..Ms Patrine Chua saying that i did quite well for my common test 2 hahas..ya...so i was quite happy..confidence high and all..and erm..the finals..hahs...i tot i had really screwed my hist...but to my surprise I did quite well..and my geog..hahas..I PASSED!!!hahas..in the end i had no A1 though...but had A2 for sci and maths...ya.the rest were probably B3s and B4s except my geog which i scored a C5..hahs...ya.. .got a 65% for my overall...my highest in sec school so far...hahas...again i spent almost everyday of this year playing soccer after school..hahas...
then i chose the tri sci combi..hahs...i wasnt too optimistic abt getting in there though..when i first chose this combi i was like trying my luck and all..hahas...serious...but hey wad do u know...I got in..hahas...probably the smarter ones in my class chose the POA combi..but ya,,,i was kinda happy that i got in..hahs..i rmb Shu Quan saying " Wah Lao...another 2 years with this siao kia"hahas...that was how i learnt i got into 3E1..hahs...
yups...hahas...and erm..well..sec 3 and sec 4 were different...
new frens..and teachers...and more pressure i think..hahas..
anyways...the first year in E1 was kinda wierd becuz i did not really know anyone..hahs..ya...so i spent probably the rest of the year making new frens and stuff...ya...
anyways...my results was also not very good...hahs...did not study hard enuff...ya...but the next year..erm..this year...was much better...more comfortable with the new frens and stuff...ya...
we became closer?...hahs...maybe...anyways this year was more tiring..hahas...more hmwk and stuff..ya...and my results kinda hit an all time low...40pts for L1R5..hahas...style la..hahas...ya..so parents was called in to meet the teachers..i was waiting outside..and i rmb..i was looking thru the window of the door seeing my teachers 1 by 1 talking to my parents..i was feeling really nervous...i tell u...juz wondering wad they were talking abt..anyways..in the end it was not all bad abt me...hahas..then had to think abt my prelims..and i still got a very high score.. .but better then 40pts..hahas...ya...hmm...that mrks my journey up to today..hahas...

Ytd well the grad ceremony was the best...as in it was really enjoyable..hahas...ya...

I really would like to thank the teachers for their effort in teaching us..hahas...yups...

And to my frens through my sec life..well just wanna thank you ppl for the pleasant and not so pleasant memories...ha!!!Its been great knowing you guys..ha!

According to some news, we're gonna need to put up a class video for graduation, which is limited to 15mins.

We'll be doing it in class or something, content, so you can just pop over and give us your comment, etc.

What we need is:

1) Many photos, I know I have tonnes, just incase you guys have anything to contribute, please come forward and donate generously, we want what you have!

2) Tonnes of ideas, any special content you want to feature possible.

3) A DV camcorder, any of you have what video filming equipment, please contribute, lol, cause we have none at all. Or else, we'll just be making do with moving images fade in fade out etc.

also, since it will be showed during graduation, we'll have to filter the content, class video is one thing, class graduation video is another thing.

We'll be starting work soon, hope to hear from you guys!

Zhikai asked me to blog about the class shirt... and to share what I think about the Singapore Idol results.
Anyway, we are getting our class shirt tomorrow and those who haven't paid Mr Tan Zhikai yet, please do so!!! It's 15 bucks per person.

And whoever spelt Hady as Hardy is so going to get it from me because Hady absolutely rocks and he deserves to be the next Singapore Idol. I cannot stress this enough: Singapore Idol is a SINGING competition, not a RACIAL competition. So what if Hady is Malay? He has the better voice and better vocal ability. Jonathan Leong is good no doubt, but Hady is better. The point is that so what if Hady is Malay just like Taufik? He deserves the title. So many people have been complaining that singapore idol should be a SINGING competition and now they are turning it into a battle of the races? Like, what's your problem? Hady is a kick-ass performer.

Anyway, everyone is entitled to their opinions. I'm sorry if I have offended anyone. Do feel free to comment or express your opinions too.
